Scotland effectively tackles injustice and exclusion, improving lives.
SNAP 1 recognised that Scotland had gone further in integrating human rights in some areas of life than others. This outcome therefore included concrete and measurable initial actions in some areas, and a focus on learning, understanding and pursuing commitment in others.
Three areas for priority action were identified:
- Enhance respect, protection and fulfilment of human rights to achieve high quality health and social care.
- Enhance respect, protection and fulfilment of human rights to achieve an adequate standard of living for all.
- Enhance respect, protection and fulfilment of human rights to achieve justice and safety for all.
