What’s New

In the lead up to International Human Rights Day 2016 (SNAP’s third anniversary), the Scottish Human Rights Commission held a reception at the Scottish Parliament showcasing some of the action plan’s key achievements to date.

The event included speeches from Christina McKelvie MSP (Convenor of the Scottish Parliament’s Equality and Human Rights Committee), Ken Macintosh MSP (Presiding Officer at The Scottish Parliament), Angela Constance MSP (Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities) and Judith Robertson (Chair of the Scottish Human Rights Commission).

The event concluded with our video of SNAP’s pilot project highlighting housing rights in practice, which you can see on YouTube.

On Friday 16th June 2017, Diego Quiroz (Policy Officer for the Commission) and Carole Ewart will be leading a Third Sector consultation on Scotland’s National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights; this will be at the Albany Centre in Glasgow, 9.30am-1.30pm.
